The annual Amateur Radio Field Day will be held the weekend of June 27/28. This event tests amateur radio operations on an emergency-type basis and provides a public view of Amateur Radio's operational ability to the public. Want to discover how amateur radio helps strengthen communication readiness during emergencies or to explore it for personal hobby use, join us and try it for yourself. Learn how you can get involved in supporting emergency response efforts while exploring hands-on radio activities for all ages.
This family-friendly event will feature demonstrations, hands-on activities, and food and will be hosted by local amateur radio clubs in partnership with emergency response organizations and Halifax Regional Municipality’s Auxiliary Telecommunications Service (HATS).
